Our Intention
Expressive Arts Without Borders was created to provide an international arena for healthy interdependency for expressive arts therapists, educators, and students to learn from our challenges and from each other. It is our intention to co-create innovative, collaborative, arts-based responses to the challenges we all face.
Our Vision
There is something within us that longs to connect with mystery, which is moving within us, between us and around us. The arts provide universal languages for entering this mystery and is a means for productive, inquisitive, and inspiring collaborations. Together, we can co-create cohesive and imaginative responses to that which seems to divide us as we draw upon the magic of artmaking as our bridge.
Since our inception in October of 2022, we have grown to become an active global community of over 6,000 members interested in the work of expressive arts. Our Facebook Group has become our most effective way to share what is happening. Workshop announcements, requests for research support, sharing of artwork and poetry are just a few of the posts that catch our attention and encourage us to keep bringing the expressive arts work forward in our growing community.
With Markus Scott-Alexander as Founding Director along with the Leadership Group, this volunteer run World Arts Organization initiative, continues to create ways to grow global outreach.
